The Property Fund of Ukraine has sold a large number of state-owned companies at the Prozorro auctions. Most of these companies were unprofitable and were heavily subsidized using taxpayers’ funds. The outcome of these auctions illustrates that the President’s office understands one thing. If we do not know how to run these companies successfully, let the private experienced business people do the job. This will help the state to replenish the budget, and remove the burden of financing companies that do not contribute to the Ukrainian economy.
