As the US moves to join the EU in requiring an internationally recognized vaccination passport, the lure of getting vaccinated in Ukraine is fading. Not only is there a tedious bureaucratic obstacle course for foreigners, but the Ukrainian vaccination passport, is, for now, not recognized in much of the EU. Dylan Carter, a fearless reporter at the Kyiv Post, traveled to Transylvania to get his injection. There, in the shadows of Bran Castle, the 14th century inspiration for Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel Dracula, Carter did not encounter vampires, but earnest white-suited nurses administering J & J one shots.
