The gas supply shortage and high gas prices are the hottest issues worldwide. Due to a spiked increase in energy prices, manufacturing companies are shutting down production, and the price of steel increased to record levels. All of this happening in the fall when the winter heating season is about to start. This is a strategic move to hothouse the issue of energy security in the EU, and promote the Nord Stream-2 project. The German government is the only one left to allow it to happen and most likely will have no choice. As of today, Germany’s GDP is heavily dependent on manufacturing that needs a large volume of gas to power its production. The outcome of this energy crisis is very clear.
