Economy minister meets with U.S. trade representative.

The First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy Oleksii Liubchenko and the U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai met in Washington on August 30 to discuss strengthening Ukraine-U.S. cooperation in trade, economic, and investment sectors. On the agenda were: establishing common rules for digital trade and protection of intellectual property rights, enhancing the work of the Ukraine-U.S. Trade and Investment Council, increasing investment between the two countries, as well as regulatory issues, improving corporate governance, issues of the negative impact of excessive steel and aluminum production capacity in countries with non-market economies, etc.
