In the first half of the year, the Export Credit Agency of Ukraine increased the volume of export support by almost 150% compared to the corresponding period last year – up to ₴4.6B.
It is noted that banks recognize ECA insurance as sufficient collateral for a loan, which simplifies and lowers the cost of obtaining it. The development of non-raw materials exports is one of the key directions of the “Made in Ukraine” economic policy.
Kyiv – ₴2.78B, Lviv – ₴1.11B, and Vinnytsia – ₴234.2M were included in the top three regions regarding supported exports. Poland, the UAE, Azerbaijan, Slovakia, and Germany were among the leading countries where Ukrainian manufacturers sold their products. Dairy products, wood and its products, toys, clothes, and vegetable processing products became the most popular export goods.
From the time of the creation of ECA in 2018 until the end of 2021, the volume of supported exports amounted to approximately ₴80M, in 2022 – ₴3.2B, and in 2023 – ₴7.8B.
