In January-July, Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises saw revenues from the export of ferrous metals decline by 53.6% compared to the same period last year, to $1.6B. According to the State Customs Service, ferrous metals accounted for 7.44% of the total export volume during this period; last year, it was 13.61%. In July, revenues from these exports amounted to $206.7M; in the previous month, it was $277.8M.
At the same time, Ukraine increased imports of similar products by 51.8% over the first seven months of the year to $718.8M. In July, $112.5M of products were imported.
During this same seven-month period, Ukraine’s export of metal products decreased by 11.3% compared to the corresponding period of 2022, to $561M. In July, $59.2M of products were exported.
On the other hand, the import of metal products during this time increased by 23.3% to $432.9M. In July, $73.7M worth of these products were delivered.
