During the first five months of this year, UIA issued $20 million dollars in refunds to passengers,

stemming from 68,000 requests due to flights cancelled because of coronavirus restrictions, the airline reports. Noting that UIA has repaid $41 million since the pandemic started in Europe, UIA said its “communication departments are doing everything possible to process every request as soon as possible.”
