Despite hiccups, US is signaling continuing strong support for Ukraine.

Forceful statements affirming enduring US commitment to Ukraine have emerged in recent days from Biden’s team, most notably at the recent Crimea Platform launch in Kyiv from Secretary of Energy Jennifer M. Granholm. She stressed that the US has “stood with Ukraine throughout these three decades, and our partnership will be solidified even further next week when our two presidents meet in Washington D.C” She reassured her Ukrainian hosts that “our support will remain concrete and substantial. We have provided some $4.9 billion in security and development assistance to Ukraine since 2014 alone.”
