The government and a specialized committee of the Danish parliament discussed the allocation of about DKK 783M ($115.8 million) for the purchase of weapons for Ukraine. This aid package, the country’s 20th, will help meet Ukraine’s military needs both in the short and long term. Among the package’s provisions are the purchase of new military equipment from Ukrainian and Danish manufacturers and increased assistance from international partners. In addition, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, stated that Ukraine has the right to strike targets inside Russia with Danish weapons. According to him, support for Ukraine remains unchanged throughout the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s operation in the Kursk region. “If within that you attack the infrastructure or military facilities of the attacking party, then that is entirely within the rules of war,” Rasmussen says.
Denmark will allocate $115.8M for the purchase of weapons for Ukraine and allow Kyiv to strike Russian territory with them.
