Denmark provides Ukraine with €750M in military aid for air defense, artillery, investments in military defense, and the transfer of F16s.

The transfer of F-16 fighter jets from Denmark and the Netherlands to Ukraine has officially started,

The Danish government provided Ukraine with a DKK 5.6B (€750M) military aid package, with half of this amount used to strengthen Ukrainian air defense. This support from Denmark also includes maintenance for artillery installations and funds for additional guns, shells, and anti-tank mines.

“In the 18th aid package, emphasis was placed on air defense and artillery, which Ukraine urgently needs. In addition, we also reserve additional funds for direct investment in the Ukrainian defense industry, and we also allocate additional funds for the future delivery of F-16s to Ukraine, which is scheduled for this summer,” Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen said.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lars Lücke Rasmussen, noted that “it makes sense to produce weapons where they are used and by those who use them. It is also about the future of Ukraine’s defense capability. Ukraine has the skills, but it lacks funding”.
