Corporations only account for 10% of the land purchased in January sales.

In the first quarter, the Ukrainian land market’s capitalization increased by $5.1B.

During the first month of the land market’s new phase, legal entities purchased 498 land plots with an area of 1,461 hectares, which is 10.4% of the total amount of agricultural land sold in January.

At the same time, it is noted that the average price per hectare increased by 13% per hectare last month. In January, 48 legal entities joined the agricultural land market. The most extensive purchase of agricultural land was by an agribusiness in the Poltava region, accounting for 60% of all transactions carried out by legal entities in January. At the same time, legal entities did not purchase any land in the Odesa and Chernivtsi regions and in some zones where occupation or hostilities continued.

According to KSE VP Oleg Nivyevsky, the results of the first month of legal entities participating in the land market have been predictable; nothing unexpected has developed. The market will adapt to the new conditions, and the winners will be landowners, who will benefit from increased land value, providing greater access to business loans secured by their land.
