Companies have become more active in the land market, which is increasing prices.

The lease of 1,200 hectares of state farmland brought ₴35M to Ukraine's coffers.

The volume of concluded purchase and sale agreements in the Ukrainian agricultural land market in July 2024 increased by 10.2% and by 4.3% in terms of the area of ​​land in circulation compared to June. Also, purchase and sale prices resumed their growth after a slight decline in May-June and were the highest in the market’s history, according KSE Agrocentr.

The weighted average purchase price in July was ₴46,000 ($1,113) per hectare, 4.5% more than the exact figure in June and 1.5% more than in May.

“In general, since the opening of the market for legal entities on January 1, prices for agricultural land have increased by 24% for all land, and by 19% for so-called commodity land,” analysts note.

Already, 953 companies have exercised the right to purchase agricultural land, of which 363 purchased at least one agrarian plot in July.

“This is the highest indicator for the entire time that legal entities have had access to this market,” experts state.
