China-EU rail container traffic could triple by the end of this decade

, has predicted Eurasian Corridors, a new study carried out by Roland Berger, the Munich-based consulting company. Based on a 2020 figure of 878,000 containers, traffic could double by 2025, according to the study, which was commissioned by the International Union of Railways. Ukrzaliznytsia is working to handle more China traffic destined for Central and Southern Europe.
