China claims that the international community supports its peace plan for Ukraine.

More than two dozen countries have allegedly expressed their support for the terms presented in China’s alternative peace plan, said Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi.

China presented an alternative to President Zelenskyy’s peace plan, which will be discussed at the Peace Summit on June 15-16 in Switzerland, to which Russia is not invited. Zelenskyy’s 10-point peace formula includes, among other stipulations, the complete withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine, punishment for those guilty of war crimes, and the release of all prisoners.

A peace plan proposed in May by China and Brazil calls for an international conference recognized by both Ukraine and Russia. At least 26 countries have agreed to or are looking for ways to join the Beijing’s proposed conference, with 45 countries reportedly supporting the alternative plan, Wang Yi said.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine responded to Beijing’s statement by stating that Ukraine should determine what peace should be like.
