German Chancellor Olaf Scholz insists that NATO will not take part in the war in Ukraine. According to a Sholz Tweet, “Citizens are anxiously writing to me every day: will there be a war here? There can be only one answer to this question: in 80 years, we have avoided the unthinkable, and we must stay the course! Therefore, NATO will not be a party to the war in Ukraine.” On the other hand, The Polish Ministry of Defense is currently working on a project to establish a NATO peacekeeping mission in Ukraine. Still, President Andrzej Duda may reject the concept if he does not receive the green light from the United States.
