Canadian partners will take part in solving logistical problems in expanding the carrying capacity of the Ukrainian railway system. In particular, the Canadian Pacific Railway Company (CP) and the Canadian National Railway (CN) will provide expert support to Ukrainian Railways (UZ) in matters of railway management, development of logistics capabilities, and infrastructure reconstruction, the Ministry of Infrastructure reported. As specified by the Minister of Infrastructure, Oleksandr Kubrakov, since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, over 6,000 km of railway track has been damaged or their control has been lost, fifty bridges have been destroyed, and dozens of railway stations and stations are no longer operating. The Ministry agreed to create a joint working group with the Canadian partners, whose task is to identify priority cooperation projects in order to help Ukrainian Railways restore the railway infrastructure.
