Olena Shulyak, the head of the Parliamentary Committee on Regional Development, said that Ukrainian businesses are willing to join the reconstruction and restoration processes in Ukraine. The most common means of anticipated participation are the performance of work and provision of services; businesses are also considering partnerships with Ukrainian and foreign organizations.
She noted that it is now extremely important to prescribe the formats and conditions under which companies would be interested in joining reconstruction efforts, as it is impossible to plan a high-quality restoration without attractive investment prospects.
In addition, Shulyak noted that one of the critical points for involving firms in reconstruction is establishing conditions for them to be able to implement restoration projects in the liberated territories and close to the frontline communities. Entrepreneurs highlight the introduction of tax benefits, the promotion of industrial development, and communication between authorities and businesses.
Shulyak added that the main principles for businesses in restoring Ukraine are transparency, responsibility, digitalization, and elimination of bureaucracy.
