Ukraine needs substantial amounts of equipment and weapons to thwart a Russian offensive  and expel Russian forces from the state, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said at the Bovington Camp military base. He emphasized that the equipment needs depend both on the situation on the battlefield in specific directions and on what is happening inside the state. But the most crucial are tanks, armored vehicles, and fighter jets. Long-range weapons are another priority, as well as air defense systems. Regarding the provision of fighter jets, Zelenskyy noted that during the negotiations, he heard a positive signal from the Prime Minister of Great Britain. However, the first step is the training of Ukrainian pilots. Also, Zelenskyy confirmed the provision of long-range weapons by the UK in the coming weeks.
