British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has called on the leaders of the Visegrad Group to develop a “Marshall Plan for Ukraine”, and to finance it partly with the confiscated property of Russian oligarchs, reported FT. Johnson said that such a plan should be developed to help rebuild the country after the war with Russia. After a summit between Britain and the four countries of the Visegrad Group – the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia – one of the publication’s interlocutors translated the five leaders’ words. They said they “can build Ukraine,” although details of how they plan to do so are at an early stage of discussion. Johnson’s associates noted that one source of money could be the divestment and sale of London property belonging to sub-sanctioned oligarchs linked to Putin.
