Boryspil is in the top five ranking of the largest airports in Central and Eastern Europe.

Ukraine’s main airport, Boryspil, is playing an increasing role in the region with the open skies agreement with the European Union will open up even greater prospects for the transport hub. According to the organization Airports Council International Europe, Boryspil is ranked fourth in Central and Eastern Europe in terms of passenger traffic with a figure of about 6 million passengers in the first eight months of 2021. “During the eight months of this year, passenger traffic in Ukraine increased by two-thirds, with 90% of passengers flying abroad – mainly to Turkey, Egypt, and Greece. European carriers are extremely interested in transporting this category of Ukrainians to their favorite vacation spots”.
