Borrell promises Ukraine EU support during the winter.

EU leaders will discuss measures to help Ukraine prepare for the winter in terms of electricity shortages, EU High Representative Josep Borrell said. According to him, Putin continues his attempts to turn Ukraine into a black hole – without light, electricity, and heat;  his attempt to condemn Ukrainians to darkness and cold during the winter months. The EU should continue to support and provide Ukraine with additional materials to meet this winter without electricity and other necessary provisions. “It’s hard to imagine, but this is exactly what is happening. So today, we have to look at the war in Ukraine from the perspective of a humanitarian crisis,” Borrell emphasized.
