President Zelenskiy is beginning a long-awaited official visit to the US and is due to meet President Joe Biden in Washington on September 1. There is much riding on their meeting. For Kyiv, security issues, restoring mutual confidence and enhancing bilateral relations are the key objectives. During Zelenskiy’s visit, the parties are expected to sign three bilateral agreements on defense partnership, projects in the field of research, development, testing, evaluation, and cooperation in space.
