According to the President of Ukraine it will start in July, marking 500 days since the start of the full-scale war. Zelenskyy also drew attention to the fact that peaceful negotiations do not work with the Russian aggressor: prior to February 24, 2022, Ukraine had held more than 180 rounds of negotiations with Russia regarding the occupied Donbas and Crimea, but instead of finding a peaceful solution, the enemy decided to embark upon a full-scale war.
During the two days in Japan, Zelenskyy conducted active diplomatic work with world leaders and participants of the G7 summit. The Ukrainian leader held talks with French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Italian Prime Minister Giorgio Maloney, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and European Council President Charles Michel.
