The Italian group, Buzzi Unicem, will sell its cement factories in Eastern Europe, including in Ukraine, for €100M. Completion of the deal in Ukraine is expected in 2024 and depends on obtaining the necessary permits from regulatory authorities.
In Ukraine, Buzzi owns two full-cycle cement plants near Rivne, Volyn-Cement and Mykolaiv South-Cement, as well as two cement distribution terminals. The group is also actively involved in the ready-mixed concrete sector in Kyiv, Odesa, and Mykolaiv.
The buyer of the Ukrainian assets is the international group Cement Roadstone Holding (CRH), registered in Ireland. The group operates in 29 countries and manages 100 factories. In Ukraine, CRH is represented by the Cemark brand, which owns cement factories in Khmelnytskyi, Lviv, and Odesa regions.
