An EU advisory mission will assist Ukraine in investigating international crimes.

The EU Council has changed the mandate of the EU Advisory Mission on Civil Security Sector Reform in Ukraine (EUAM), authorizing the mission to support the Ukrainian authorities in investigating and prosecuting any international crimes committed during Russia’s war against Ukraine. EUAM Ukraine will provide strategic advice to the Ukrainian authorities and provide funds and equipment to Ukrainian authorities. The mission will ensure close cooperation with the International Criminal Court, Eurojust, and the member states that provide direct support to the investigation and prosecution of international crimes in Ukraine.
