Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles said during a meeting of the Contact Group on Aid to Ukraine that Madrid will hand over another batch of Leopard tanks to Kyiv in June. She also promised to send Ukraine 155-mm ammunition, Patriot missiles, and anti-drone systems and to continue training the Ukrainian military.

In turn, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin announced that Washington will send a new aid package to Ukraine that includes armored vehicles. Austin did not specify which particular vehicles will be provided. Ukraine will also receive additional ammunition for the NASAMS and Patriot air defense systems, new HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, Stinger anti-aircraft missiles, and Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems. This aid is part of a $1B support package previously announced by US President Joe Biden.

In addition, the Netherlands will hand over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine a batch of YPR infantry fighting vehicles equipped with remote control weapon stations for fire support on the battlefield.
