Alfa-Bank Ukraine has agreed with the National Bank of Ukraine on the candidacy of Simeon Djankov for the position of its proxy, who will be given the right to vote on the shares of the bank’s sanctioned shareholders. According to the bank statement, “Alfa-Bank Ukraine has agreed with the NBU on a trustee, Bulgarian economist Simeon Djankov, whose reputation is recognized as impeccable. As a result, he was given the right to vote on shares of the Russian shareholders and the right to participate in managing the bank.” Simeon Djankov is a Bulgarian economist, statesman, former Minister of Finance, and Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria.
