According to Ukraine Support Tracker analysts, assistance from allies and international partners for Ukraine fell to the lowest level since January 2022. From the end of summer to the end of autumn of this year, a sharp reduction in the volume of newly provided assistance has been observed, with the value of new packages amounting to only €2.11B, which is 87% less compared to the same period in 2022.
Out of 42 tracked donors, only 20 allocated new aid packages in the last three months, the smallest share of active donors since the beginning of the war. The biggest packages still to arrive are those from the EU and the US.
“Given the uncertainty regarding further US aid, Ukraine can only hope the EU will finally approve its long-announced €50B support package. A further delay will definitely strengthen Putin’s position“, Ukraine Support Tracker noted.
For now, Ukraine must rely on large, multi-year programs promised earlier. For example, Denmark, Germany, and Norway provided €1.2 billion, €1 billion, and €662 million in military aid over the past three months, respectively.
