The share of businesses in Ukraine that expect growth in production and export is growing.

The Ministry of Economy and American Western NIS Enterprise Fund (WNISEF), whose portfolio is managed by investment company Horizon Capital, have agreed on a grant program for women engaged in businesses oriented to the processing industry. The total budget is $1M, and each grant’s maximum amount is $15,000.

Applications focused on business scaling will be considered first. The program provides up to 30% of funds that will be used to purchase new software or training.

Also, the EBRD has announced that selection of Ukrainian startups to participate in the Star Venture program. Growth-oriented innovative enterprises with an annual turnover of €100,000 to €1M and first registered no more than ten years ago can take advantage of this opportunity to receive mentoring support and take advantage of the beneficial experience and knowledge that is provided.

The program is financed by Switzerland within the framework of the EBRD Small Business Assistance Fund.
