The Velta group of companies with assets for the extraction of titanium-bearing ores in the Kropyvnytskyi region signed an agreement with the private New York consulting company EAS Advisors to attract financing for a titanium plant in the US.
Velta General Director Andriy Brodsky emphasized that the company’s current goal is to provide titanium to Ukraine’s allies and, therefore, to Ukraine itself. After the war, the company promises to build similar facilities in Ukraine and will help to restore the country.
It is reported that the American project has three stages. The first is constructing a plant with a 1,000 ton titanium powder capacity for the additive technologies market. The second is capacity building up to 5,000 tons of titanium powder, and 10,000 tons in the third stage.
Established in 2000, VKF Velta is engaged in the mining and production of ilmenite concentrate.
