A state bank finances the construction of a solar power plant and an energy storage facility in Western Ukraine.

State bank Oschadbank signed a €10.8M investment loan agreement with the Elios Luchki company, from the Helios Strategia group, to fund the construction of a solar power plant with an installed capacity of 22.35 MW (inverter capacity – 16 MW), as well as an energy storage facility with a capacity of 33.44 MWh. The project will be carried out in the Mukachevo district of Transcarpathia, with the planned start-up date set for January 2026. This project is not only a step toward a new decentralized energy sector but also demonstrates the technological readiness of Ukrainian companies to implement complex infrastructure solutions.

At the same time, as part of collaboration with the German government and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), autonomous solar power plants have been installed in three medical facilities in Kyiv. Thanks to this modern equipment, these institutions will be fully supplied with uninterrupted power during outages.
