A Russian air attack destroyed a warehouse with 40,000 tons of grain and halted operations at the Odesa port.

As a result of the air attack on Odesa on the night of September 25, in addition to the damage to the Marine Station building and the hotel, the occupiers destroyed a warehouse with 40,000 tons of grain, and several ships moored near the Marine Station berths.

Observers emphasize that the damage could affect the grain delivery system from the warehouse to the pier, along with the loading mechanisms. Restoring the wharf’s grain delivery system in a short time will be difficult.

The Odesa port will not be able to receive bulk cargo carriers or ship food. Several foreign tugs belonging to a private towing company under a temporary charter were also damaged.

Also, the strike damaged a merchant ship, the Comet, which had been at the port pier since the war and was ready to leave. The extent of the damage is not yet known.
