President Volodymyr Zelenskyy promises a radical reform of the tax and customs services, tax reduction, and minimization of contacts between officials and citizens but in exchange for the closure of tax evasion schemes and the honesty of taxpayers.
“Our goal is tax without tax officers, customs without customs officers with an automatic digital procedure,” said the president of Ukraine. According to him, digitalization provides tremendous opportunities to simplify taxes and customs procedures, where there will be no contact between citizens or businesses with government officials.
At the same time, the president once again confirmed that he would like to lower taxes. But this, according to him, will entail increased responsibility. At the same time, the president confirmed that such changes should occur after the war because the country cannot afford it now.
